Dear Parents/Guardians:

Monday evening, a threatening note was found in a Middle School  
boys' locker room.  The note stated: "At 1:00 on Friday there will be  
a bomb going off."

The district takes this matter seriously. We have contacted Cedar  
County Law Enforcement. For the next several days, student bags will  
be searched and officers will be on campus.  Also, lockers will be  
inspected, and access to our buildings will be restricted.

We are informing you of this matter to avert rumors and false  
information. We will work to ensure a safe learning environment. If
